The purchase was done via a company called Barclays & Watson Real Estate. As a purchaser, they offer you the option to take care of all your legal requirements.
Following this, they use a legal company called Legal iuris. A lady called Mar Sanchez contacted us.
It became clear from the first e-mail that Mar was very professional. Then, after our initial telephone conversation it confirmed to us that we could fully trust Mar and the company she represents.
Choosing the correct legal representation when buying a property in Spain is a difficult and crucial decision. You are investing your savings, into your dream home and you need someone you can trust.
When you buy a property in Spain you have lots of things to consider; bank accounts, NIE numbers, potential power of attorney, wills, utility bill transfers, house insurance, this to name a few.
At all stages Mar from Legal iuris explained everything in fine detail. I would go as far as saying, she held our hand throughout the whole process. Any questions or concerns that may have sounded silly, were always answered in fine detail and in a timely manner.
Mar’s work colleague Kirsty was equally as helpful, this for any of the days Mar may have been out of the office on meetings etc. Now after the completion date, Lauren from the aftersales department is confirming everything and keeping us up to date on all the utility bill transfers and new set ups etc.
